Telemedicine Consultation - Horses

Super convenient for horse owners - our Online Video Consultations are especially suitable for cases such as Wound Care. We understand that there are times when horse owners may not be able to conveniently access a vet, live remotely, or have some questions about their horse's condition that we could address online. While online consults do not replace the Veterinary Clinical Examination process, they can gather a lot of information that we can use to help. We may be able to initiate at-home care, advise on the need for a vet visit or whether urgent care is required. If your horse has what you feel is an emergency, please call the clinic first. As a senior Equine Veterinarian and Qualified Veterinary Herbalist, Dr Joan Deetman has a wealth of experience and information to share with horse owners. We can provide a range of treatment options, including Herbal Therapy. For wound care, we can advise on treatment plans and send required medications, bandaging materials, etc. NOTE: Prescription medications are not provided without a physical consultation. * Video Consultations may be booked strictly Monday - Friday between 10 am - 3 pm. (Bookings made outside these hours will not be accepted.) * Once your booking is accepted, you will be sent an Email with a Zoom meeting link and instructions. * Ensure you connect with a computer, laptop or ipad screen. * Clients will be responsible for ensuring you have adequate internet coverage. * For Large animals - in a well lit stable breezeway or shed is preferable. * Consultations run for 45 minutes. * Payment will be made at the start of consultation by EFTPOS.
